1. Site operator
The website www.lightsun.ro is operated by LIGHTSUN STUDIO SRL, registered office at Str. Orizontului, no. 9, Apahida, Cluj County, Romania, registered with the Trade Registry under no. J2022001858125, tax ID 45943577. For questions about cookies or personal data, write to studio@lightsun.ro.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files stored by the website in your browser. Alongside cookies proper, we also use "local storage", a similar technology by which the browser keeps a few preferences directly on your device, without sending them to a server. In this policy, "cookie" covers both.
3. Why we use cookies
We use them only for two purposes: (a) so the site works correctly and remembers your preferences between visits (language, theme, your banner choice), and (b) if you agree, so we can understand how the site is used, in aggregated and anonymous form. We do not sell data, we do not use cookies for personalised advertising, and we do not track you across other sites.
4. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the site to work. Cannot be disabled and do not require consent. Preference cookies: remember your choices (light/dark theme) so they don't reset on every visit. Analytics cookies: help us see which pages are visited and prioritise improvements. Loaded only if you accept. Marketing cookies: we do NOT use marketing or advertising cookies. The category exists in the banner only for transparency, in case we add it in the future.
5. List of cookies in use
Strictly necessary (local storage): "ls-cookie-consent" stores your banner choice (duration: until you clear it). "ls-sticky-cta-dismissed" stores that you closed the "Request a quote" bar (duration: until you clear it). Preferences (local storage): "ls-theme" stores your selected theme, light or dark (duration: until you clear it). Analytics (Google Analytics 4 cookies, only if you accepted the "analytics" category): "_ga" identifies a device in pseudonymised form (duration: 2 years), "_ga_<ID>" collects session information (duration: 2 years). Your IP address is anonymised before processing. At the time of publishing this policy, the Google Analytics integration is not active; this section will be updated if that changes.
6. Third-party cookies
The only third-party provider that may set cookies on our site is Google (via Google Analytics 4), and only if you accepted the "analytics" category. We configure Google Analytics with "anonymize_ip" enabled and "allow_google_signals" / "allow_ad_personalization_signals" disabled, so your data is not used for Google ads. 7. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies rely on the operator's legitimate interest in providing a working site, under art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The other categories (preferences, analytics, marketing) rely on your explicit consent, given via the banner, under art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and art. 4 of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on electronic communications.
8. Managing your consent
On your first visit a banner appears with three options: "Accept all", "Essentials only", and "Customise". "Customise" lets you toggle each category individually. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Edit cookie preferences" in the site footer. The change applies immediately, no refresh needed.
9. Browser-level cookie management

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (new cookie categories, new third-party providers). The last update date is shown at the top of the page. Significant changes that affect your consent will reset the banner so you can reconfirm your choice.
